Hello, my name is Brianna Jones. I am from Clarksburg, West Virginia and have lived here all of my life. I currently teach Math1 at Robert C. Byrd High School, but next year I will be the new librarian. During this class I would like to become better familiar with different technology resources. As the new media specialist, I would like to bring new and exciting resources to the table and offer teachers new things to bring into their classrooms as well as the library. This is my first course of two courses that I am taking for my Digital Media, New Literacies, and Learning degree. The second course that I am currently taking is EDUC 6305 Advanced Educational Technology and Media this summer.

Hi Brianna I wish you much success with your job. I am almost done I hope to graduate in December. Digital Media has been such a great eye opener for me in many ways. I had no idea how many different digital tools were being used by all different age groups of kids. It's in sane I am so glad that I chose this field.
ReplyDeleteI teach outside the classroom but sub all the time. The group of kids I work with are all high school student and are a youth coalition of 13. We get to use digital media with all our presentations. We do presentations on high school dropout, bullying or substance abuse prevention.
We are currently discussing the two articles on Does Digital Media Make Us Bad Writers? And Literacy Debate: Online, R U Really Reading? The articles are really good and reveal some interesting objectives about reading and writing.
